Hey did you hear? Obama is supposedly related to the first slave or something. Does that mean we can stop doing penance for ever having had slaves in this country because we made one of their descendents president?
Of course, they are just trying to make him even more worthy of their worship, and it is probably a big lie. And I didn't make him president and don't even believe he has a legitima...te claim to the office, not being born in the states and all.
So our country will probably have to continue pandering to everyone who contains any race of anyone who ever perceived themselves as having been wronged in this country--including those African Americans whose antecedents came here after slavery was abolished; including the members of Islam who plan to blow us up because we don't worship their god; including the Mexicans, from whom we legally purchased (or won in wars) the land they now want back; including Native Americans, who definitely drew the short end of the stick from having their land invaded, but who are still sore about it even though no one who did it or to whom it was done to is even alive anymore and even though they have been emancipated form their reservations for generations--but definitely not including Christians or white people (who were also slaves here), and especially not white men.
Christians and white people are the cause, aren't they, of everyone's troubles in the world? Especially white men. They're the real enemy's new scapegoats.
In case you didn't know, the real enemy is the devil, that serpent of old, father of lies, pitting us against each other and delighting when we mistake each other for enemies, when our only real enemy is him.
