Matt:24 Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. 25 For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
What might that mean, "For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him?"
Whoever has faith, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have faith, even what he has will be taken away from him...
Whoever has patience, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have patience, even what he has will be taken away from him...
Whoever has love, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have love, even what he has will be taken away from him...
Whoever has joyfulness, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have joyfulness, even what he has will be taken away from him...
Same with physical strength, beauty, health, ability to resist sin, psychosis, insanity, laziness, envy, addictions, etc. I am sure many of you notice how some people's flaws seem escalated, and yours too, while some good things about them also get better and some bad things are less bad. We are being polarized, it seems, from within our own selves as well as into groups. Sheep and goats.
Be patient and endure, saints. Cling to the Lord, for this is part of His refinement. This is when people fall away--when they see others with blooming health becoming even more vain and petty, while their own health fails but their hearts grow ever more compassionate. Or when they see psychopaths grow in wealth while they grow in love while floundering in growing debt. It's not fair. Will you falter and turn away? Or will you remain steadfast and persevere, trusting that the Lord knows what He is doing?
Take heart, for if God was fair we would all be roasting in Hell. Thank God He isn't fair! Praise God that I, a sinner, have a chance at eternal life with Christ the King! Hang in there. I know it is hard, but cling to the Lord through it all and never turn away from He who saves.
